Over the Edge

On Friday night, I wanted to try out a new cocktail, and this one sounded great! Unfortunately, it was way too sweet, and I couldn’t even finish it. It had potential, and it looked pretty, but it’s just not for me.


Over the Edge

1 oz. white rum
1 oz. blue curacao
6 oz pina colada. mix (or subsitute with 4 oz. pineapple juice, 2 oz.
coconut milk and a splash of coffee cream)
4 oz. ice cubes (or shaved ice)
1/2 orange slice

1. In a blender crush ice. then add pina colada mix and blend for 15 seconds.
2. Add ice mixture to glass.
3. Float white rum and blue curacao over shaved ice, then add 1/2 an orange slice as a garnish.

4. As an alternative, add half of the white rum and blue curacao to the bottom of the glass then slowly add pina colada mix and top with remaining white rum and blue curacao. This will give the drink a layered look.

If you do not have a blender, simply use ice cubes for a less ‘dramatic’ drink. Serve in a tall cocktail glass.
