Bacon jam adds smokiness to these sweet-and-salty 5 ingredient appetizers!

Looking for a simple appetizer for New Year’s Eve? Look no further! These beauties are crazy delicious and can be ready in a snap!

Cheesy Bacon + Apple Croissants

The Bacon Jams sent me a sample of their Original Bacon Spread, and I’ve been coming up with all sorts of ways to use it. It has a really deep, smoky flavor that was just perfect in this recipe.

This one was a real winner – it has the perfect balance of sweet and salty all wrapped up in a fluffy croissant.

It’s great party food, and you can easily double (or triple!) the recipe to suit your needs.

Feel free to use any bacon jam you can find in the store, or even make your own.

Want to use pears instead of apples? Go for it! The sky is the limit with these simple treats!

Cheesy Bacon + Apple Croissants

Bacon jam adds smokiness to these sweet-and-salty 5 ingredient appetizers!

1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated croissant dough (I used Trader Joe's)
8 teaspoons bacon jam (I used The Bacon Jams Original Bacon Spread)
8 teaspoons shredded cheddar cheese
1 green onion, finely chopped
8 thin slices apple

  1. Preheat oven as directed on the croissant package (mine said 350°F).
  2. Separate the croissant dough into triangles. Spread 1 teaspoon bacon jam evenly on the surface of each triangle. Sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon cheddar and 1/8th of the green onion. Place an apple slice on the wide end of each triangle and roll up toward the narrow pointed end and press lightly to secure the tip.
  3. Place rolled croissants on a baking sheet 2 inches apart and bake as directed on the package (mine said 12-14 minutes) until golden brown. Remove from baking sheet with a spatula and transfer to a platter to serve. Enjoy!

OK, how can something NOT be good with bacon jam? I’ve never had it, but it sounds delicious… and your appetizers look yummy!

I am pretty sure I could spread bacon jam on anything and have it be delish–pairing with fruit is genius!

  • These look so good! I can see them being a great party appetizer for the holidays or game day too! And I love that they are easy to make…I think I have everything to make them too!
