We had some friends over for dinner, and I was told that they would provide dinner as long as I made some cocktails. Woohoo! First on the list was this one, the Bourbon Rouge. It's a great way to enjoy bourbon's sweeter side!
Bourbon Rouge
The Domestic Mixologist
1 ounce bourbon
1 teaspoon vanilla bean simple syrup
1 ounce Chambord
Club soda
Ice
Lemon peel
Pour bourbon, syrup, and Chambord in a cocktail shaker full of ice. Shake vigorously and pour into ice filled lowball glass. Top with soda and stir. Garnish with lemon twist.
