    Tuna Salad Sandwich

    I used to hate seafood. Especially the smell of canned tuna. But I've been getting better, and Dino makes really good tuna salad sandwiches.

    I tried to track what he put in them, to get a basic recipe together, and this is what I came up with.

    Ingredients
     

    • 1 can solid white albacore tuna, flaked with a fork or potato masher
    • 3 cornichons, chopped
    • 3 sweet gherkins, chopped
    • ¼ small red onion, chopped (or a little dry minced onion)
    • 1 stalk celery, chopped (or a pinch of celery seed)
    • 3 tablespoon mayo
    • 1 pinch ground mustard
    • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
    • 1 big pinch ground white pepper
    • Salt & black pepper to taste
    • Sliced bread, toasted or plain*
    • Lettuce or baby spinach

    Instructions
     

    1. Mix ingredients through salt & black pepper in a bowl using a fork or potato masher.
    2. Scoop onto to bread, top with lettuce or spinach, and enjoy!

    *Optional: use Gluten Free
