My Garden

A close up of an herb garden.

I love being able to go right outside to snip some fresh herbs in the spring and summer, and the weather was finally nice enough for me to plant my herb garden out on the porch. This year, I in addition to the chives and thyme that pop up every year, I planted flat leaf parsley, basil, rosemary, cilantro (which I haven’t had luck with in the past, and this is my last year trying to get it to grow), and a serrano pepper plant. I also have some rhubarb that I grabbed from the plant that I have at my in-laws’ house, and it’s doing really well!

I hope to get a lot of great meal accompaniments out of the garden this year!
