Two of the most in demand Super Bowl snacks have to be Buffalo wings and hummus. But why pick between spicy and smooth when you can have the best of both worlds?
This dip is fiery and addictive. It’s extra smooth thanks to a dose of Greek yogurt, which also helps keep it much healthier than your typical bowl of dip. It’s topped with crunchy celery, tangy blue cheese and an extra drizzle of wing sauce for extra kick.
Now all you need is a killer bag of chips for dipping. And luckily for me, Late July sent over a case with 7 different types of chips for me to choose from.
If pressed to pick favorites for this particular dip, Dino and I would choose Red Hot Mojo. It adds a bit of smokiness that really compliments this chickpea goodness. Sea Salt by the Sea Shore was a close 2nd.
We may have polished off an entire bag of Dude Ranch before I even finished chopping the celery. Don’t judge.

Buffalo Chickpea Dip
Big Flavors from a Tiny Kitchen – Ashley Covelli
1 (15.5 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
3 tablespoons FRANK’S® REDHOT® BUFFALO WINGS SAUCE, plus more for garnish
1/4 cup Stonyfield Organic nonfat Plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 stalk celery, diced, for garnish
1 tablespoon crumbled blue cheese, for garnish
Place chickpeas, wing sauce, yogurt and lemon juice in the bowl of a food processor. Purée until smooth. Place in a bowl, drizzle with more wing sauce and sprinkle celery and blue cheese on top. Enjoy!
Note: If you have time to chill this dip, it tastes even better!
