I had some ground turkey leftover from when I made Crock Pot Turkey White Bean Pumpkin Chili a few days ago, and I thought it would be good to make burgers. We took a walk over to the grocery store and brainstormed ideas for what to make. We decided on an Asian inspired burger, and we thought it would be more fun to make sliders. Dino loves making flavored mayos, so we did a spicy mayo to go on top. We didn't have any Thai basil, so we used a combination of mint and cilantro. These were really tasty! The combination of flavors worked really well, and the kick from the mayo was great. The fish sauce is such a great addition - it adds a ton of depth to the burgers.

    Makes 6 Sliders

    ¼ c mayonnaise
    2 t chili garlic sauce

    1 lb ground turkey
    1 t fish sauce
    ¼ t ground white pepper
    1 t soy sauce
    1 green onion, chopped

    fresh mint leaves, for serving
    fresh cilantro leaves, for serving
slider buns, warmed quickly on the grill, for serving

Mix mayonnaise and chili garlic sauce in a small bowl. Put in the refrigerator while making burgers.

Mix ingredients through green onion in a large bowl, being careful not to overmix. Form into small patties and grill, until cooked through. Put slider buns, cut side down, onto grill and cook until just slightly charred.

To serve, top each burger with a mint leaf and some cilantro leaves, slather with chili garlic mayo and enjoy!
